How do I book an appointment?

To book a hair appointment at Royal Crown Hair Studio click this link or call/text us at 347-204-1993. WE DO NOT ACCEPT WALK-INS.

Where is Royal Crown Hair Studio Located?

Royal Crown Hair Studio is located in Harlem, New York @ 338 East 116th Street.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, cash app, and all major credit cards.

What are your exchange and refund policies?

Customer service is one of our main priorities if you're unsatisfied with your hair unit, we will try our best to address your issue. Unfortunately, we do not offer a refund for any services or products that were purchased.

What is a hair replacement unit?

A hair replacement unit (or a "man weave") is a hairpiece or hair extension created for men who are experiencing thinning or balding.

how long does the process take?

The process can last anywhere from 1.5- to 3.0 hours.

How long does the hair replacement unit last?

The life expectancy of your hair unit depends on the type of hair unit you purchase and how well you maintain it. We offer 2-4 week synthetic hair units, 1-2 month virgin hair units (waterproof), 3-4 month virgin hair unit (waterproof), and 4-6 month virgin hair unit (waterproof). 

How do I maintain my unit after installation?

We will provide you with instructions on how to maintain the unit at home. In addititon we highly recommend you come in for a unit touch up every 2-6 weeks. During a unit touch up we remove your unit, wash it, then wash your scalp and put the unit back on.

Is a deposit required when scheduling an appointment?

Yes, due to the demand and prep work required before your appoint we require a nonrefundable deposit of XXXXXXX due before booking your appointment.

what are the next steps after booking a hair unit appointment?

We will contact you and ask for at least three pictures of your hair as it currently stands (front, back, and side poses) and the style you desire. Once you submit the pictures we will confirm your appointment shortly thereafter. 

If I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, what happens to my deposit? 

If you reschedule your appointment 48 hours before your scheduled appointment, your deposit will be secured. If you decide to cancel your appointment completely please note that the deposit is nonrefundable. 

Does the Hair Unit damage hair/scalp? 

If you follow our maintenance guidelines and ensure that the application and removal of the unit is handled by a professional, there should be no damage to your hair or scalp.

How long does my hair need to be for a hair replacement unit? 

Cases vary by the hair type and condition, contact us for a free concultation

After I install my unit, can It get wet?

If you purchase our waterproof hair unit, you can wet your hair as much as you like. However, if you purchase our synthetic hair unit we recommend little to no exposure to water. Synthetic hair units will start to loosen up if you wet it too much. In either case, we recommend using a shower cap when bathing.

Can I participate in physical activities with a hair unit?

With our synthetic hair unit, you can participate in any physical activity/sport (w/ the exception of watersports). The unit can withstand a fair amount of sweating and moisture. If you purchase the waterproof hair unit, you can swim, jetski, and participate in pretty much any watersport. 

How do I sleep with my unit on?

You should buy a bandana or a doo-rag to cover your hair at night (the bandana or doo-rag shouldn't be tied too tight).

Can I take the hair unit off on my own?

We do not recommend this due to the risk of damaging your natural hair strands, the extensions, as well as shedding and breakage that may occur when attempting to remove the unit on your own.

Will my unit stay placed in strong winds? 

Yes, there is no need to worry about winds blowing your unit away. Our installation process ensures sturdiness and durability.

is there a difference between a man-weave and toupee?

 Yes, there is a slight difference in the design and application process. While they both serve the same function, a man weave is much more customizable, resulting in a more realistic finish. 

Can I order hair units online?

Yes, there are a variety of hair units available on our website's shop. Feel free to explore our options. We highly recommend you take a training course before attempting to install the hair unit. More details around our training course will be available soon.

Is there any type of surgical procedure involved while installing the hair unit?

No, the installation process is completely non-surgical.

Can I purchase and supply my own hair?

We pride ourselves on using the best products during our hair installation process. Due to quality control, we do not allow clients to purchase their own products and hair.
